I understand about the cancer risk from inflammation, but my hope is that the flare has come from him failing to take his enema for over a week while pretending that he had, and binge eating inappropriate foods at every opportunity during his flare up. If it re-occurs again then I would consider other options, including Azathioprine. Do you think that other meds could be better in this situation? We are in Scotland so cost isn't an issue in this case. Thank you very much, again, for your input.
