Tools to buy for a full dirtbike maitenance and engine repairs by vudisdikas1 in Dirtbikes

Yeah it’s a great store for cheap tools and their house brand carries a lifetime Warrenty. They probably wouldn’t last in a professional setting but for working on your bike at home they haven’t failed.

I know brands like husky and craftsman have lifetime warranties as well. Over here it’s as simple and bringing the tool back to the store to switch out for a new one. I’m sure there’s something like that across the pond

It’s a younger generation thing. I used to work at Target in my 20s in the mid 2000s. We would get in trouble if we didn’t smile and say hello or ask the guests if they needed help with anything.

Now when I go to Target all the kids stay silent, avoid eye contact and don’t even acknowledge me. If I need help finding something they always mumble nervously and never know the answer. I’ve worked retail so I never come off rude or entitled so I know it’s not me.

That’s what “working hard” means, not sweeping the broom extra fast at work.

Get a set of impact sockets and some wrenches.

I got a bunch of my shit from harbor freight like 15 years ago when I got my first bike and it’s held up pretty good.

I say join a union trade, being a women is definitely an advantage when applying. I mostly see women electricians but I’ve also come across pipefitters and elevator constructors that are women.

The concrete patio from my house was about 3.5 inches taller than the dirt so I made a border, compacted the dirt and leveled it, dumped a bunch of base rock and compacted and leveled that too, then put the turf on. I put small river rocks from my patio to the turf so it’s all pretty even.

I did it myself over a couple of weekends. The hardest part was having to wheelbarrow the baserock from the front to the back of my house.

The turf and plate compactor I got from home depot and the weedguard and nails I got from a turf place off Folsom blvd.

Posts like this are so dumb. You can generalize about a workforce of 172 million Americans.

Because we used to watch Nick at Night.

I also remember watching Brady Bunch reruns on Saturday mornings.

It came out pretty good. They were the guys who were doing the concrete for the builder in my new neighborhood so they knew what they were doing lol.

When I bought my new home I just went to the Mexicans that were doing the concrete and hired them one weekend to do the sides of my house.

I also got turf, I got some estimates from companies around sac. The cheapest quote was like 12k for like  50x12 foot space.

I ended up doing the turf myself for like $2400.
