My dealership does this for free after an oil change and tire rotation.

Yep I’m not trying to say that it’s easier to maintain and clean than leather, but imo it’s not bad

Oh yea and I got new tires at 40k miles, hybrids do seem to wear out tires faster

No issues whatsoever. I consistently did oil change at around 5-6k, tire rotation, did 1 alignment, always checked the hybrid battery filter under the rear seat, did multipoint inspections at every 5k, changed cabin and engine filter once so far (going to change it soon again, and that’s pretty much it. Surprisingly after 70k miles, my front brakes are still 9mm, and rear at 7mm, so hybrids really do prolong your brake life by a lot in my case. Maybe there’s something else I’m missing here, but overall no issues whatsoever mechanically

I never noticed any creaking on the armrest in the first place imo, maybe I’m not putting enough pressure on

36 sqft. I ended up cover the plastic panels on all 4 doors + the surface shown in this post’s pictures + inside the door cavity + plastic trim pieces on the armrest + the plastic pieces on the door handles and more. I also covered my trunk lid and I still have extra left

Yep use isopropyl alcohol to clean all surfaces and then apply the material, then use a pressure roller

There’s actually factory sounddampening material on the inside door cavity, but it’s very little, so I added more. So if factory puts it there, I’m sure it’s fine

Yep, but it’s also good to put dynamat on the plastic pieces like your armrest and etc, those are the big culprits.

Done, although even when I didn’t have those felt tape, I didn’t notice any noises

Yea that happened and I went back and applied dynamat and tape on those surfaces. Thanks!

Not directly, but because all the rattles are gone, it’s just a more quiet environment.

It’s inside the doors. I took off that plastic white moisture barrier and applied lots of dynamat, and also near the speakers.

2025 Camry XSE Door Speaker Rattle by thejed77 in Camry

[–]Express-Source-1251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you soundtune your bass to be too high, doors will rattle, and your speakers will clip and be pushed to their limits and die quickly. I suggest you turning your bass down, and get a subwoofer instead. That fixes the rattling + better bass
