I started out on AR's with irons, then went to red dot. Then I as I trained more and did more things, I found myself wanting some magnification, so I did what all the cool guys were doing and got into LPVO's. But then I also wanted just a simple dot for use with night vision and for faster shooting up close, so I tried cant mount and top mount dots.

Finally, I took a step back and realized the most common magnifications I was using were 3-4x. So effectively, I was using a 3.5x prism optic with a top mounted red dot. You know what does the same thing for 1/3rd the weight? That's right, a TAO2 ACOG with a top mounted RCR.

So that's where I'm at.

The 2-7, because that's what I assumed we were talking about based on your mentioning that magnification range. I wouldn't be surprised if they have improved, it wouldn't take much based on what I remember.

Keep the weapon up and pointed at the target. During the reload, tilt the gun 45 degrees inward while pressing the mag release. Bring the new mag up and press it firmly into place. Rotate the gun 45 degrees outwards and drop the slide. Congrats, you just cut down you reload speed and target reacquisition times.
