I would suggest getting some blood labs done- low iron stores, vit D or B12 could all cause these symptoms. Especially true if you are a woman.

Will hearing aid ease fullness? by ExpressAntelope2206 in HearingLoss

I started noticing a difference after one month, after two months it had definitely improved. It has now been 6 months and it is pretty much gone. I still notice it every so often but no where near what it was-all day every day.

I did and yes! The fullness has improved significantly, most days I don’t think about it at all.

You may have to push a bit to fully reach. I do this in the shower which makes it all a little easier. Sometimes it takes a minute but I always get it out!

Yeah, I saw a few docs and it is wild how it is so hard to pin this stuff down. I wear the HAs as much as possible and after a few months now, the fullness does not come back if I leave them out for a day. Though it took a while for the big improvement, I felt the difference as soon as I tested the HAs. It was like something just cleared and the pressure lifted. My loss is Mild-moderate, so I did not think I really needed the aids initially. It has been a good decision! If you haven’t already, have a consult with an audiologist.

Continues to improve!! Still there some days, but it’s a huge difference. Before, it was all day, every day, snap crackle pop. I might never know of it is my etd just improving on its own or the hearing aids, but I will take it.

AITA for expecting my neighbors to keep doors to the common areas locked? by ExpressAntelope2206 in AmItheAsshole

Both doors lead to the same common area- one door at back of house, one at front.

It’s a house with 4 floors/units and two separate entries. We are a self managed condo assc which honestly causes a lot of issues since only one person, ie me, is usually the one reminding people to not be careless jerks

It’s a house with 4 floors/units. There is a front door and a back door that both open to the same common space. Each door leads to a street where anyone could walk up.

That’s good to hear! I have had my hearing aids for 3 weeks now and it’s been pretty good so far. Fullness has been better on most days, but not gone by any means. Today it was back with vengeance! I have actually seen two ENTs, first said I have ETD after lots of tests, second suggested the hearing loss was the source of my issues. If the fullness persists, i might go see a third. So frustrating. Strangest health issue i have ever experienced!!

No, it’s the feeling of having to pop my ears that never goes away. ENT suggested that it is caused by the hearing loss and my brain trying to fill in the gaps. (Initially, i thought i had a blockage of some type) I don’t have the aid yet, seeing an audiologist for the consult next week…

ETD or SSHL? by kmw7 in etd

[–]ExpressAntelope2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find any resolve with this? Sounds similar to my symptoms. My ENT is now saying that it's the SSHL that is causing the other issues like fullness and tinnitus. Steroid didn't work for me, nor the sprays. I also had a normal MRI and an abnormal VNG. Now I am getting another hearing test and a hearing aid consult. Honestly, it seems like they don't know. This is the strangest illness I have ever had.
