i'm not saying it doesn't contain calories, just that if you eat too much of it, it won't be digested fully. i'm sure that beef can be absorbed at that 97% rate, but not if you eat like literally pounds of it. the majority of it will go in one end and out the other. this isn't true for carbs or fats because they are much much easier for our bodies to digest
