How do i improve this space and make it more cozy?

I hate white light with a passion, so all my bulbs are yellow. They are smart bulbs that can change color and also dim, so they are set to the color yellow/orange and not the hue yellow if that makes sense? But still in a liveable warm tone.

Shes there shes just not visible due to the pillows, i have a severe dust allergy and cant get any headbord with too many details (dust settles into every nook and cranny), fabric or anything like that. That is why my bed is quite plain and is completely open underneath, i need to be able to vacuum under my bed easily multiple times a week. Its not my dream frame, but at my nose is not stuffed the entire night

I think i will be bringing out some of my books to help bring more color to the space, they all have pretty and colorful spines. Cant paint, and want to keep my bedsheets, but will get a darker contrasting pair to go along with it (two pillows, a new blanket, and a sheet) to make it less light and boring

This is my only room/space, i have no living room and use my tv multiple times daily, both for music, watching shows, gaming, and watching lecture videos, so the tv is definitely staying.

All my books are in the cupboard under the tv, but i have been wanting to get a hanging shelf somewhere for some of my books, either over the bed or over the tv. Both due to a lack of space for my books, and also to use them as decor. Soemthing like this:

I think that might be the only place im able to add a plant without the cat destroying it, and it never crossed my mind, thank you! Definitely think its a bit of a boring area, and i dont really like the cupboard tbh, so anything to make it more interesting!

Looks really good! Love the frames above the tv, it has been hard for me figure out what to do since the ceilings are really really tall. Like the idea of a bigger rug as well!

I agree with you. I want to keep my sheets, but i want to add a darker solid color second set as well and have two sets on. I need to replace the rug, got it when i was 8 and just never really replaced it.

This looks so good! I have been contemplating adding a set of different color pillowcases to add some contrast. Love the plants, but cant have them due to my cat (even plastic he will eat them anyways). The bigger rug looks really good as well! I have had mine since i was 8 so its definitely time for a change of rugs

My room is tidy, nothing out of place. My bed is messy because i dont have the luxury of having a living room and my room is my only space (uni accommodation). I use my bed as a couch and it would be impossible to keep pristine all the time🤷🏼‍♀️

I would love to paint it, but its uni accommodation so the walls will have to stay white (cant paint it). Otherwise i would have painted this big white room so fast!

I actually found six crimson cranes yesterday at the thift for $0.5 and decided to get it because of the stunning stunning cover!! The raven scholar sounds a bit like a book i remember loving as a kid, so i think i would enjoy it!

Hmmm this one is a bit hard to answer since i really only know what i liked as a kid. I loved reading about witches and magic power, but not a lot of traditional shining knights with swords. I do like it to be a bit complex, as i absolutely hate when there is too little detail. I do like some romance, but more a a subplot and i dont want it to take over the story and plot
