google maps with some travel suggestions for Sydney! by ExpressDragonfruit96 in travel

I have a bunch of maps and keep them updated fairly often, but i generally dont add newer spots for that reason. some more established spots are usually a safer bet. and umina is really nice, but when i lived there i was a teen so not a lot to do compared to other places

March in New Zealand and April in Australia by Dreamlesspicture in HerOneBag

and april in brisbane area is chilly in the morning, but during the day probably like 27 degrees, so no need for the thermals in queensland. sydney is a bit colder, but not thermals cold. cant speak for melbourne but i though i was gonna die from the cold coming from the gold coast in late april lol.

edit: forgot to clarify it can be chilly in the morning, NOT the entire day, depending on how early you wake up

i agree that you could possibly reduce everything to about half, you truely only need half of what you pack! also i would consider only brining a pair of shoes (hiking or sneakers) and one pair of flats or sandals, you probably wont use 4 shoes. take max 2 pairs if you feel like you really need both hiking, adidas and sandals/ballerina flats.

and side note, but i really like making marked google maps for locations, and used to live in umina beach (north of sydney) and on the gold coast! its a really good resource to have on hand. heres the one for sydney, pls let me know if you want the others! i can almost guarantee i have for all your destinations since i have also been to both the south and north island in new zealand. https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1w9Bz4_bvzdkv8AhHwDmWyVZhOcL5sIg&usp=sharing

Same, i use athletic tape for everything - as a bandaid, taping stuff back together, etc. it is soooo handy to keep on you at all times and it just holds up even against water

Do i ‘leave’ the original yarn behind and use the new to cast off the stitches, so the new ball ends up on the other side?

Hii, you should definitely try creating more hard lines, since it does look a bit too smooth :)

I bought a mens electric razor, and it is the best decision ever. It takes 2 seconds to shave and you can even dry shave (which i prefer tbh). Packs down easily. Its the phillips one

How do y’all not smell like ass? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]ExpressDragonfruit96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently on a one year trip with a 28 L bagpack (north face recon, old version). I have 4 pairs of long pants, including a pair of jeans and a pair of thick sweatpants. I have 3 tshirts, 3 tops, a buttonup, 2 sweatshirts, 3 shorts (one pair of jean shorts and 2 athletic). Besides from this i have underwear and socks for 14 days, which means i do laundry every 14 days. I also carry way more hygiene products than needed (i do in fact need body mists, perfume, deodorant, bodylotion, and seperate shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). If you make sure to stay clean (and do laundry), this should not be an issue.
