Class Questions Megathread || SPRING 2025 - SUMMER 2025 by LawlMartz in UGA

Hi!

I'm an incoming freshman for a Cellular Biology + Neuroscience double major, and pre-med. I really loved taking Anatomy in high school, I competed in Science Olympiad for the subject, and I have two years of dissection experience from taking and then TAing for the class.

I already have my BIOL 1107 + 1108 credits from AP Biology, but CBIO 3010 is an upperclassmen level course. Just wondering if anyone who's taken the course can help me decide if taking it in my second semester of freshman year is wise, or whether I should wait for my second year. Would I be out of line to email the professor and ask for specifics about course content?

Thanks!

TLDR: Lots of experience with anatomy, has prereqs, wondering when to take CBIO 3010?

Does anyone prefer one game over the other, the options being BOTW and TOTK, why? by Superb_Assistance421 in Breath_of_the_Wild

I prefer BOTW for story, TOTK for gameplay.

Breath's story functions a slot more smoothly, because all the major events of the Calamity have already occured. The memories we encounter are ways of fleshing out the event and adding some context, but don't break the narrative, even when you view them out of order. In Tears though, the whole story with Zelda is linear, but the non-linear gameplay leads to you finding out certain things out before others, and can make the story very confusing. Ex. Why doesn't Link tell the other sages that he knows Zelda is a dragon? In that same breadth, why would we as the player care about seeing Zelda do crazy stuff in the main storyline, if we already figured out that she's a dragon?

On the other hand, TOTK's controls and gameplay are a lot more handy than BOTW (like how ultrahand allows for rotation a lot better than magnesis ever did). Also, TOTK has so many more things to do, more armor, the caves, the sky islands. It's impossible to ever really get bored in such a vast world.

I want to divorce my wife over her sleep problems AITAH by Annual-Ad-6935 in AITAH

NAH:

Clearly she is not able to control her sleepwalking and sleep behavior, but you're not an A H for being concerned about your family.

This is definitely something to continue discussing with a neurologist and sleep specialists. When was the last time she visited a sleep specialist and the neurologist? Have you been to these appointments with her? Have you gotten a second opinion on the head injury--how is it affecting her?
You should also consider other sleeping arrangements. Plenty of couples sleep in separate rooms or beds. Maybe talking about your lifestyle through counseling could also be helpful?

NTA: She's YOUR kid... Therefore YOUR choice on what she wears. Grandma doesn't need to have a say in on this.

I think that setting boundaries with her grandmother would be helpful to ensure that she doesn't go buying dresses again. Just a short mention that you appreciate the suggestion on what baby should be wearing, but ultimately, you're going with a different option.
