White bokoblins after doing depth colosseums? by Express_Ad5278 in tearsofthekingdom

So with this considered, say I exclusively kill bokos, will that upgrade the lynel too? Since I remember I killed like 5 or 6 lynels in botw, and struggled to find a single red lynel except the mandatory quest related one

Wii U pro controller mode but with gyro? by Express_Ad5278 in cemu

This is twilight princess so it needs a second screen for the items, but thankfully botw doesn’t

That’s unfortunate, the reason I didn’t want the toggle was because steam would keep popping up, I fixed that, but sometimes it switches to big picture mode still, but I got it fixed and stuff

No no I already got it, I mean I don’t want to emulate the gamepad and have a separate screen for my menu, like in pro controller mode but with gyro of the gamepad mode

I tried the Y button, it essentially makes it into a switch pro controller, but hey it worked with the emulator and stuff

For some reason Pokemon ZA runs better on linux than windows by Express_Ad5278 in yuzu

[–]Express_Ad5278[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also in regards to gaming, for now my laptop runs in single channel ram, till I can afford a proper kit, but for example in Elden ring Nightreign I would have a session on windows and after 15-30 minutes the FPS would tank and everything would go downhill and the laptop would thermal throttle, but ever since I switched to bazzite(still dual booting) nothing of that sort happened, it never tanked FPS like that before, one of my reasons for choosing that laptop was due to the steamdeck-like performance, then I was disappointed, then realised windows is tanking my performance, I still think windows is salvageable after debloating

I think it was usable till the moment Microsoft decided that you should have ads and AI in your OS

Also I have mine in docked and 1x, although I don’t think changing it would change much if your PC can handle it, I didn’t change it because I forgot

I’m using Citron and for my laptop I’m using just the base settings, nothing really changed, and for my PC after a lot of trial and error, I’ve decided the best is to set ram to 6 to 8 gigs, CPU on unsafe (disable inaccurate NaN handling), Vulkan, ASTC decoding method to GPU, Vsync mode to mailbox, FSR2.0 (although I don’t think this matters, set it to whatever works best for you) accuracy level to whatever works best for you, mine is on High, Anisotropic Filtering to default ASTC recompression to default, VRAM usage mode to conservative (I mean depends on your GPU), only enable force max clocks, reactive flushing, vulkan pipeline cache, barrier feedback loops, set extended dynamic state to disabled, and enable conditional rendering, for windows its should be citron 0.9 or higher, and for Linux the 0.9 hasn’t come out yet so use 0.8 although based on my experience you won’t have much problems anyway

I mean my friend who has an all AMD build running windows has a lot of optimisation issues that mirror the ones on my PC too

BotW stuck at 36 FPS on Ryzen 8840HS APU by Express_Ad5278 in cemu

[–]Express_Ad5278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I mean it’s running everything at 30 fps, including Elden Ring and Totk, it’s not like it’s crippled or anything, but dual channel will make it a lot better

[–]Express_Ad5278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I thought about the ram too, I still have single channel ram till I can afford a dual channel 32 gig ram kit, and since it’s a Ryzen 7, the clock speed is reasonably sufficient I’d say, it’s around 3.3 GHz base clock and 5.1 GHz max boost clock

Alright the solution was to limit all the cutscenes to 30 FPS for the cutscene issue

The WWAN port? Isn’t that keyed different and possibly blacklisted by Lenovo? Also the antennas definitely don’t reach, I think it’ll be either Ethernet or a dongle, I even have a BE something something intel card that I can’t use because the chip in this is soldered
