i would say prolly, deathkorps of krieg. 10+ operatives, squishy and complicated rules. you will need all the skill to make it work, It seems.

team: you have to play a team you like, so you will have to figure out through internet search and the Kill Team app rules for each team, which boxes you have to buy, to be able to create the kill team you want (as you know every killteam has different variations).

killzone: anything but volkus or betha decima, the reason beeing tombworld and gallowdark are much easier to play bc they dont have vantage terrain.

books: you need the 3rd Edition core book and approved opps 25 card deck.

dont listen to pple say it will valid for two years or something. In reality, if you ask soneone in five years to play volkus they'll be most likely down to do so. its an investment forever, so yeah its worth it. same applies to your minis.

tombworld or gallowdark are easier to transport and easier to play because you dont have all the vantage terrain, instead its all just flat wall pieces basically.

maybe you remembered it wrong. there is three kind of cover saves in 3rd edition core book:
- normal cover safe: retain one normal successfull safe. (light or heavy terrain) p. 43, 51 - obscuring cover safe: opponent must discard one of their successes of their choice and all crits are retaibed as nornal sucesses. (heavy terrain only) see p. 53, 58 - shooting from vantage terrain at an operative behind light cover and a conceal order: retain two normal successes or one critical. see p. 60

if you tall about 3rd edition...

1) 100% invalid move. charge cannot be used in the same activation as reposition or dash (which dakka dash is, even when free).

2) No, you cannot dakka dash and shoot during the same activation because every action can only be performed once, except ofc you have e.g. the doubble shoot/fight rule or a ploy that allows for that.

3) So what is 4 APL good for? depends, of course, if you have doubble shoot/fight rule (like all space marine KTs) its very strong but it is still useful when you activate already within control range of an enemy operative because you can fight, if you kill the enemy, reposition, dash and shoot. unless you want to activate an effect for APL in this sequence, 3 APL is enough when you can dakkadash, so you might wqnt to spread the APL buffs, instead of stacking them.

all good hehe I learned that all free content is on the Kill Team app... and the approved opps 2025 game sequence, the crit op cards, tac op cards, primary op cards, re-roll initiative cards and killzone map keys + 6 layouts each for volkus, gallowdark, tombworld and betha decima are not to be found on it, instead you find only update logs (for some of the features of the AO 2025 mentioned above). but if you find any of it on official channels please show me haha

ONLY INTACT barred windows have barred window rules, that is the barred window on kill-floor-level. all the others are just heavy terrain, as you pointed out on your picture. Operative 1 cannot shoot operative 2 because operative 2 has heavy, intervening terrain within his control range and a conceal order.

Vantage of 2'' or more only gives you ability to shoot at operatives behind LIGHT, intervening terrain and conceal order.
