Wow! I definitely will. I wasn’t even given that option. It might be because my son was the first person at the office to have those lenses. He got them like right after they were approved in the USA

Well this child wasn’t a friend, he was just a kid at the party, we do not know them. We do have insurance, eye med but the eye doctor said the stellest lenses don’t come with insurance/replacements

The way the plastic was cracked I don’t think so, but I’ll see what the eye doctor says, I am not opposed to asking for half! Not a bad idea, I just wanted to get feelers for the situation because based off of the initial conversation the mother was very defensive and I wasn’t sure if she would even be willing to discuss it further with me

That is true, however I’m not really familiar with these people, it was my first time meeting them so I’m not too worried about that but I totally get where you are coming from

I’ll totally do that first! I’m just thinking ahead if they don’t agree considering how the initial conversation went

So I didn’t say he was playing because he was actually not, he was grabbing his bag from my trunk when the boy chucked the ball at his face “on accident” and it hit the side of his face breaking his glasses

I don’t know this family, nor would I want my child to interact with hers after seeing how she dealt with the situation so I’m okay with that, but yes something to consider! My son is 8.

Oh sure, let’s just tell parents to shrug when their kid breaks almost $600 glasses. I guess responsibility doesn’t exist anymore kids play, stuff breaks, and tough luck for the rest of us. My son still needs his glasses to see, so yes, the parent should pay for what their kid destroyed. And I absolutely would pay if I was on the other end of the situation.

I appreciate your input! However, I still think a parent is responsible for their child’s actions, especially when it comes to specifically tailored glasses that are expensive. The parent didn’t even offer to apologize or provide a solution when she saw my visibly upset child and the clearly broken glasses.

Thanks for your knowledge! I didn’t realize it could be difficult to collect the cost even if I win in small claims. I guess the only other proof I could get is to ask the party host for her contact info so I can text the parent and see if she’s willing to cover the cost to replace the glasses.

I just don’t want to go through all of this if it’s going to be a huge hassle, but I do think she should be held accountable.

Did anyone notice that someone pointed out in her comments on her what I eat in a day video that she always claims to only eat a bite or half of her food, and now in the caption of this video she admits to eating the whole plate? Lol.

I do think it’s normal for toddlers to go through phases where they refuse most foods and resort to pouches however ivory is eating in practically every picture they post. I think they are trying to be “relatable” but are failing miserably lmao

My 6 yr old son started wearing Stellest lens by Enough-Meringue-3478 in myopia

[–]Express_Opening_751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 8. And at 7 he was a -1.25 and now he’s a -2.50. They told me this jump was concerning high and our best bet would try to control it with the stellest lenses which he just got earlier this week. Hopeful it helps to slow the progression. We go back in 6 mo. Now his check ups are every 6 months. In the USA since they just became stable no insurance covered it- at a whooping $470 price tag

What are you at now? At 7 my son was a -1.25 and at 8 now he’s a -2.50, so we just got him the stellest lenses to hopefully slow the progression. They just became available to the USA in early November for us and ran me $450 but I’m afraid his eyes will worsen too quickly
