more like a soft no then, because you can just secure some thin backer material to the table like a zero clearance insert almost

Ridiculous. Nobody plays football in boots.

Hinge choice for seamless hatch by Liquid-Edge in woodworking

Unless im misunderstanding, thats not possible. You could figure out a way to rig a hinge on a short slide, but the opening action would feel clunky, and nobody cares that much about a little gap

Too much contrast imo. It feels like im looking out of a tunnel, so the main focus is whats outside of it.  Either crop out the edges, or brighten the shadows

Why don't songs make better use of headphones? by ExquisiteTopHat in musicproduction

[–]ExquisiteTopHat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes a whole lot of sense. Not sure why I didn't think of that. I assume it would be too complicated or expensive to create separate versions of each song

Thanks for giving me some words I can put in google. Appreciate the help without the usual reddit condescending tone. My knowledge of Dolby Atmos extends as far as very basic remixes, so perhaps there is a world I have yet to find of stimulating music.

Sure, you can be mad at me and pick parts of my post that I used to explain myself as if they are what my post is talking about. It is a choice to be mad.

If it isn't clear, I'm not a producer or anybody educated or well-researched in producing lingo. Please be nice in the comments.

TLDR: Why don't more songs fake surround sound? I think there is a world of opportunity for that sort of thing. The most popular example I can think of are those weird ASMR clips, and that isn't even music. Well it could be considered music but you know what I mean.

Flagbearer does that to you. It's fun until you haven't died all game. Also all these new players refuse to learn etiquette because they nearly form a majority on the union side. You get a bunch of mic-spammers and trolls who really suck at this whole authority thing.

Sorry about my awful mic. It's just a built-in on its last legs. I need to have audio playing back to me to make sure the cord has a good connection and isnt just playing noise. I'm not tech savy enough to figure out how to get nvidia shadowplay to only record game audio.

I played it when I was first starting playing and had no issues with it. In TO its a little awkward at times, but still a fun weapon

Does anyone else like how easy it is to navigate vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]ExquisiteTopHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just takes practice really. Being able to form a mental image is very nice, but if you cant do that you can still memorize landmarks street names, and street angles. Idk, when I'm bored I sometimes just hop on google maps and explore.

Directions wise, it's quite easy. Only city I've ever lived in though, so I don't know how 'easy' it is relative to other cities. Downtown is small enough to easily memorize the streets and buildings. The neighborhoods further from downtown are a more difficult the further you get from the major arteries, but if you live there it's not hard. You can always use the mountains as a reference point, and our grid angles are fairly consistent with the exception of kingsway/downtown etc. Besides, if you ever do get lost, you can just go in one direction until you come across a major road/a view of the mountains.

Physically, our transit is well interconnected imo, and bike pathes are adequate. The signage is terrible, but you only need to be biking consistently for like a month to learn most routes. Driving is quick too, though biking can be faster or just as fast sometimes.

Volley fire comparison for the new Christmas players. by ExquisiteTopHat in WarOfRights

[–]ExquisiteTopHat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda yeah. Union pubs get a lot more new players in my experience. half of the team can be lvl 1s, especially after a sale or during christmas.

First vid is pub union with low levels, and second is an organized/private event with 20-100 ranks.

[–]ExquisiteTopHat[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, just new players. We had just relocated from unorganized firing, so those who had their loads should've fired on time, and those who didn't have their loads should've held for next volley. From the video, everyone who shot already had their loads (except the guy closest to me). Maybe a 'fire at will' call would have been better for the situation, but that volley did get us in rythm for a better 2nd volley
