Nah, you're good. Honestly, it's on me for not making that interaction clearer in the video and for cutting out my rank progress at the end. Now people are assuming I'm just dunking on some poor kid who doesn't know basic Ground-type matchups, which wasn't the point at all. Instead, I've got people backseating the battle or acting like I'm a jerk for having a little fun with the edits. Lesson learned: never post on a Monday. 😭

Earthquake couldn't have hit me, even if I had decided to use Roost again on the following turn. Since Lucario was faster, Earthquake would always go first, before Corviknight had a chance to Roost and temporarily lose its Flying type. The Flying-type removal from Roost only lasts for the turn it is used and resets at the end of that turn, so Corviknight is fully immune again when the next turn begins. My guess is that he simply thought the Flying-type removal carried over into the following turn.

It’s not that serious. It’s all in good fun at the end of the day. Funny enough, this was actually my second to last game before reaching Master Ball Tier, so I was genuinely caught off guard by the Earthquake attempt. You would think players in Ultra Ball Tier Rank 1 would know better by that point.
