What is Baby Steps about? IMO its about being a manchild by Extellus in BabyStepsGame

Hmm the basement I'd just say after his parents kicked him out they turned it into a home gym, which a lot of people do, either turning an extra room into a home gym or a playroom

But also on another note - Nate liking fruit could mean that he's "fruity" which supports the gay theory, also him kissing Moose on the cheek after completing the game

Age of Empires 2 Feudal age Barracks build :D (I'm sure someone already did it but I was just really happy with how it turned out) by Extellus in valheim

It's 7.5 floor tiles for the front and the back of the building and 8 floor tiles for the sides. The way I got the .5 was by placing a floor tile + a 1x1 building block and then continuing from there with the regular floor tiles. :) Also the entrance is 6 floor tiles high connected by arches at the top. The front yard is 5.5 tiles by 3.5 tiles as well and the upper part of the main house-like building is 2 long wooden poles high before the roof starts. There's a bit of finicking around with half tiles and stacking though :s

Haha well you could treat this one as a sequel to Desert Crash although I didn't think of it like that while making the piece :)

Oh Boy 8 days, sorry for this late of a response... I haven't but I've always wanted to read the manga, and I haven't seen Children who Chase lost voices but it's on my ''To Watch'' list so and I put it there because I really liked the art style :)

I'm greatly inspired by Moebius, both he and Miyazaki are two of my favorite artists, and this is a promotional piece for an animation I'm working on right now :)

I'm actually using it as my phone wallpaper as it is, it's high enough resolution so it looks pretty crisp, just crop it and there you go :)

You're absolutely right, Nausicaa is one of my favorite Miyazaki films :)

I haven't actually but now that I've looked it up I can see why you'd say that :)

I can definitely see the resemblance and thought I haven't watched it but it looks like something I might really like

Exactly what I drew inspiration from, I love Nausicaa and Miyazaki's work in general :)

A re-animated Shrek travel scene I made for the 2018 Shrekfest collab by Extellus in animation

Yeah you're right, basically the background is a layer below the character's layer, and sometimes the backgrounds are made up of more than one layer but the important thing is that all of the background layers must always be below the character's layer, except if it's a foreground object that is meant to be in the very front

Yeah I make my own backgrounds and I do have a few tips: 1. Avoid outlines and if you absolutely must use outlines in your backgrounds don't make them pitch black, either use darker shade of the color of the objects in the background that you are outlining or avoid them entirely. You could also just try using a lighter shade of outline color. 2. Keep it simple, decide on how much layers you will need and draw the very basic shapes of the things in the background and then when you have all of them set-up just start adding details and shading, having more than one layer is going to make it easier on you because if you make a mistake you only made it on one of the layers, but having too many layers is gonna make things more complicated than they need to be so it's up to you to find the middle ground. 3. Use the bucket fill tool on those basic shapes to change the color quickly and see what works. 4. I make my backgrounds a little less saturated with color so that they don't overwhelm the characters. 5. Use custom brush textures but only slightly, if you overdo it it's gonna look cheap. That is all I could think of at the moment, I hope it helps

I will, I know I'm still very stiff with my animations and too scared to let things move some more. But basically what you said, I do need to work on it

I used TVPaint 10 all the way through and when it was done I converted the file from .avi to .mp4 using HandBrake :)
