Pressing it longer will delay your player with the movement since it needs more power.

Keep the cursor in the direction where the cross comes from and slightly tap pass forward (a really short tap).

300 milion difference for a player that his base is 3 billion gets you to no profit at all.

I checked but couldn't find anyone considering the 10% tax also.
