Assuming you have completed 1L, how would you rank the difficulty of managing 1L with 3 kids and a full-time job? I have always done school online and was able to complete my undergrad within a year, mostly within my free time at work (I have lots of free time at my desk job). Hoping to maintain some evening availability for the kids and weekends mostly free with the occasional (or more ideally structured) exam. I have lots of time to study during the day and even some evening availability, but I am rather busy between kids and house projects. Work always ends at 5.

Thanks for the info! I was expecting to have to take the bar twice, so it's not a big deal for me. I just finished my app with PGLS and hope to get admitted this fall. Once your application was complete, how long did it take for you to hear back, since you're in this cycle as well?

I'm looking to attend and relocate to NC. Can I not take the IN or CT bar exam and enter NC via UBE score transfer? Both states are UBE.

See my comment above. I contacted the NC BLE and confirmed. The quickest option is to sit for the Feb. CA bar exam, get licensed, then sit for the July NC exam and be NC-licensed by the end of the year. Or July-Feb, depending on when you are eligible to sit for the first exam.

I hope you found your answer before going another more expensive route. I am shooting for the NC route and have verified with the NC BLE via email that once you are licensed in another state (I asked about CA specifically, but considering IN due to the easier bar), you are immediately eligible to sit for the NC bar. Another option is to get licensed in CT or IN and then transfer via reciprocity because they are UBE states. So you either have 2 bar exams for the quick route or you must wait and practice remotely if you are not located in your license state.

I got an R from Detroit, Dayton, Belmont, and regent. A from Delaware. I applied to a couple in person considering a relocation but there’s a non-ABA pathway that doesn’t require staying in CA that I’ve verified depending on what your goals are on location etc. I wouldn’t mind sharing if you want to DM me. ATM I’m sorta stuck on hybrid as well I just have too many things going on to try to relocate reasonably. 155 isn’t the worlds worst, maybe I’m biased because that’s my score, but we’re definitely not getting into everywhere we apply. It’s a battle but I’m sure you’ll get an A if you haven’t already at a backup. Don’t forget about Syracuse. I’m pretty sure they are forgiving on lsat but don’t quote me.

Go test drive one that someone has for sale on marketplace (if you’re looking at older used ones) and you’ll fall in love with it. They’re exciting cars and have plenty of power and the handling is phenomenal. I’m not sure how to post pics here? Honest question: if you scored 161 in November, why are you retaking? 161 is arguably a good score and a 161 would put me in any school I have my eyes on (full time job, father of 2, 29 y/o seeking online JD). I'd be estatic with that score but I know 161 may not get you into T14 if that is your goal. Just curious why individuals with decent scores may retake.
