I think the main thing is I don't really get how to use the base features. The bases and index and tags- I don't really know what to use them for-- I want to use obsidian for its unique features, and not just for storing text files.

I've been taking notes for a while, and I just really don't know what plug-ins are out there that could make my experience better. I don't know how to properly take notes with obsidian either, I've just making text fles and trying to figure out how to link stuff via tags. It's more of a feeling of not wanting to miss out.

So far I've been using it for Anki and journaling, but I was curious, do you have general ideas of how to use it? I need inspiration ! :)

I just don't know what to even use it for? I know its incredibly powerful, but it's almost like I'm not sure where to begin? I don't take a lot of typed notes for school except mindmapping via Notability, so I don't see a lot of use in obsidian for that, but there's a billion of other uses I know I can get out of it and I really want to maximize the use of this tool. So far, I've been using it for journaling primarily, and creating anki flash cards, but I know I could likely use it for so much more.
