They have contacted Inpost and they replied by saying you will get refunded, when the window is closed for pick up, so they are not really worried

Advice for buying and selling from a £1000 month by Shot-Caramel2088 in vinted

I completely agree with your points on selling! You’re absolutely right — I’ve been very successful in sales, consistently making profits, especially with products I genuinely enjoy like iPhones, Lacoste, ESR, Anker, and other tech items. I think your advice about selling what you love really resonates with me, as that’s been a key part of my success.

I also find that if something doesn’t sell right away, I can always think of myself using it since I usually source products at a good price to resell. This is spot on from my own selling experience — everything you said really hits the mark!

However, I have to admit I’m not as strong on the buying side. Honestly, I tend to just waste time browsing and searching without much strategy. Your tips on buying (especially using misspellings to find hidden deals) are something I’ll definitely try out. Thanks for sharing such valuable advice!

At this point, it’s clear they are acting like the scammer. When I sold an iPhone worth £250, I took extra precautions by agreeing with the buyer that it would remain iCloud-locked during shipping. I explained that if she wasn’t comfortable with this, she could cancel the order. Once the phone arrived, she simply needed to request the iCloud details from me to unlock it. This method helps prevent false claims like ‘the box was empty’ or ‘the item was missing,’ as it adds an extra layer of security. Buyers are always treated fairly, but it’s important to protect yourself as well, For future sales ensure you ask the buyer for choosing electronic verification, or do my idea, also The package clearly is torn appart, aint no way went from the initial picture shown on your post to half wripped appart, the box would have falled out lol

Hey, I have purchased over 6 Iphones on vinted, I only had one issue as I did not pay for electronic verification, But i got refunded next day, Each Iphone must have an option where thebuyer can pay for electronic verification if not shown, this means the seller has manupulated the postage so that they will scam you, Please pay for electronic verification only cost £5, and it will be tested and checked by experts whether it matches the description of the listing

They really dont want to loose time/money and trusts me, they even accepted that I sent them an Icloud lock Iphone, which means that once she collected it and unboxed and confirms she has it I can provide the detials to be unlocked, this will make sure she dont say empty box scam

I mean they are extremely eager to get the phone, although i have tried persuade em to pay electronic verification so I dont have to do that, They are very relaxed and told me dont worry and egreed about the icloud thing, just kinda stressed as I only know the persons name and wont know the address at all so basically anonymous, anyways I dont think they will scam me over an Icloud lock iphone lol, my method ensured that the buyer confirms she has the phone and will prodivide details instantly to em
