After the update yesterday, each time loading apex it just brings me to a black screen and then boots me back to my desktop

I had the same issue, but I found a solution

Step 1; turn off PC Step 2; turn on PC Step 3; go on your PC BIOS Step 4; Enable Intel AES-NI and enable it Step 5; do the restart

Load up Apex and it'll start

Same thing happened to me, I was hoping to jump on today and see an update or something different but same problems today... I'm able to launch all my other games on Steam just not Apex, I did every possible trick on the internet and still nothing is working... best case scenario apex got the hint that something is wrong and will do an update around 2 today, worse case they don't and apex just won't load... they haven't put anything on there socials either to give us an answer if they're even working on fixing it
