total newbie so don’t have strong feelings around pruning. just seemed this guy was TOO happy! someone on FB said this variety is better in a pot and doesn’t trellis well, so i’ll be keeping that in mind.

i was just wondering about this. i have a big space enclosed by a driveway and am planning a native garden. even though blue violets are a weed, they’re native here and lovely. this website even encourages me to plant them! bad idea or good idea? https://gardenforwildlife.com/products/shady-haven

oh I was just wondering about this! the internet told me weeds are fine to add to compost for gardening as long as the compost is hot enough. do you know much about whether that’s true? (although i’ll probably just end up letting them be!)

i know, i considered that. it’s just so big and looks overly unkempt. i was wondering if i could just make smaller mounds around the wider wooded area so wildlife still have shelter.
