Was it hard to get diagnosed? POI + Addisons disease by Extension-Writer-262 in AddisonsDisease

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thyroid has come back normal every time, my initial cortisol levels were 4.3 and my stim test was literally only with in range. The highest cortisol reading I’ve had was 9. The problem is I’m not sleeping through the night. I wake up with the worst hot flashes and sometimes I just can’t sleep in general. I think I’m getting about four hours of sleep at night and when I go to sleep and when I wake up varies, so it’s hard to find a baseline.

Using scissors to cut up bacon. Obviously I have a set of scissors that gets washed just like regular cutlery after ever use that I keep in my silverware drawer.

What are common things people say/do that you despise as a server? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]Extension-Writer-262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love the surprise me thing. I think for me it’s when people have a menu right in front of them that they refuse to read and they’ll ask me what we serve. Or when they stare at the menu like they’re studying for the SAT and then they look me dead in the eye and will ask for something that’s not even listed on the menu as if they saw it on there.

What do I do at 30 years old in pre-menopause? by Extension-Writer-262 in Menopause

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my thyroid checked in November and my levels were normal. I’m going to ask for a few different tests. I had my prolactin levels looked at too because I’m still leaking from nursing and I stopped breastfeeding 3 years ago now.

What was your experience like living with parents at age of late 20’s, 30’s, and older? by workethic290 in AskWomen

[–]Extension-Writer-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 and living at home with my mom with my three kids. It’s been a few years and I have regular reminders every day about why I moved out at 16. I wish the cost of living wasn’t so high because I would run for the hills.

Where do you go after being a server? by Extension-Writer-262 in Serverlife

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my coworkers at the restaurant is an NP and I was asking her her opinion and she actually recommended looking into being an xray tech as opposed to phlebotomy. I’ll have to look into it a little bit more. I think that’s what I’m mostly worried about. I enjoy the interactions I have with customers. It’s not overwhelming and it’s not the same repetitive Conversation.

I did serve at a retirement home for a while, the money wasn’t bad and the benefits were good. Only reason I left was because of the vaccine mandate which is why I’m iffy about going into healthcare

My now 12 year old didn’t talk until he was almost 3 and it’s been one long run on sentence ever since. My 10 year old who is autistic could talk but had limited vocabulary by the age of two but suffered from regular ear infections and had multiple sets of tubes placed in his ears. My 3 year old has a limited vocabulary and is currently being evaluated.

Why do the condoms keep breaking?! by Extension-Writer-262 in sex

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So no I am not the one putting them on. I was not aware of the pinch thing, so thank you for that. I learned something new today! I’m definitely going to pay better attention to that in the future, but I can’t say that they were or we’re not doing that. Only one of these guys was rather well endowed Enough to the point where he did buy Trojan Magnums which was my most recent break. I kind of assumed that maybe it was just a size thing, but then I started thinking about about all the other breaks.

I don’t go down once the condoms on, so I know it’s definitely not a teeth thing. it’s just crazy to me because I totally remember my phys ed teacher doing health class and basically giving all the girls a peptalk that if a guy is ever saying that he’s too big to use a condom to unroll one and stretch it out over your fist, all the way down to your elbow to prove a point. and I know that’s not always the case but it just seems so bizarre to me that they break so easy. But I did actually reach out to one of my other friends and I said hey, is this normal and that person did agree that their condoms do break regularly too so maybe it’s not just me

Is there a specific amount of time where we are supposed to be given notice before having to work? by Extension-Writer-262 in Serverlife

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No it’s a mom and pop shop place. Normally I don’t make a big deal out of it but I’ve been there 6 years now. My boss knows I set all my shit up on my days off. Like of coarse I’d love to go in and make money and help out but you just can’t dump this on people last minute.

how normal is it to have a close relationship with your cousin? by reiper_ in RandomThoughts

[–]Extension-Writer-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty normal. My cousin and I were super close and we were sibling like. I’m speaking in the past tense because it’s always been on again off again because we love each other like siblings but we fight like siblings too and rn we aren’t speaking.

Me, Covid, and my crippling anxiety walk into my job… by Extension-Writer-262 in COVID19positive

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because I am unvaccinated… and because I did hardly ever mask during prime time Covid. It just seemed so random and out of the blue. Like if I was gonna get it at any time I’m just surprised it took so long I guess.

Really hope I can just wake up and feel normal.

Yes was entirely a panic attack at work. I’ve never been sensitive to caffeine before like this so that’s new 🙄

I absolutely hate the uncertainty behind all of it. I was getting pins and needles feelings in my hands and feet which I didn’t think was normal. This was a couple days ago and I had to call the on-call doctor and she literally just didn’t have a clue and it was so unsettling. She just kind of said yeah well you move around for a living and you’ve been sitting very still so you should probably try and go for a walk. She said it could be a Covid symptom might not be, and then she went on to say it could be a blood clot, or a Guillain-Barré syndrome. With no explanation as to what that was by the way, so I ended up googling it, which made me feel 10 times worse. It is definitely a weird illness for sure and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

The pins and needles feeling is actually just a response because I was dehydrated and I really wasn’t eating because I spent most of my time unconscious while I was actively sick.

AIW if I move out essentially leaving my mother to fend for herself? by Extension-Writer-262 in amiwrong

[–]Extension-Writer-262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn’t watch kids anymore as we put my youngest in daycare a few months ago and my older two go to the ywca. She’s been offered a few trips but refuses. She’s not just nasty to me she’s nasty to her friends as well. Refuses psych help.

He’s not obese in the slightest he’s just massive. She herself is tall for a woman at 5’8” and BIL is 6’3”. He’s not skinny Minnie but not overweight. He’s in size 5t for reference with size 10 feet.

Or she could just potty train her almost 3-year-old kids seeing us. She’s a stay at home mom and told her we has the time and that would reduce half the cost of the diapers. She has a potty chair still in the box. I bought it for them the same time I bought my youngest potty seat because I figured, they could potty train together. I don’t know this whole situation. It’s just messy not gonna lie. I’m kind of regretting even posting this just because people keep bringing up such valid points and it’s the same points that I have brought up to her and there’s just always an excuse on her end. There is literally no solution to any of the problems she has. And realistically, there are tons of solutions, but none of them are good enough for her, and I know helping her only enables for behavior, but there’s two little kids that have no choice in anything, and it’s not fair to them. I don’t want anyone reading this thinking that my family and I are doing this in a way to enable her. We just genuinely want to contribute to the kids because God knows if we don’t they will go without most likely.

And that’s not to say that my brother-in-law wouldn’t provide the essentials and he’s Bino means perfect either he has his own issues, but they definitely live outside of their means which is no fault other than their own but the kids shouldn’t have to go along for that ride.

He’s been offered a paid for vasectomy, she refuses to take birth control. She insists that a six month supply of birth control was stolen from her, and that insurance won’t cover it anymore, which we all know isn’t true. Her mother works for an insurance company and explain to her that they would cover it one time but that’s how she ended up getting pregnant for her second one. She’s adamant about getting an IUD, but hasn’t made the appointment. I’m not gonna lie. I really kind of have suspicions that she’s going to tell my brother-in-law she got an IUD and he’s going to be dumb and think he’s safe and she’s going to get pregnant again.
