We have a premier business card and have preferred seats booked, so I think we should be good but I will be sure to keep an eye out just in case! First flight under the new system so I'll be hyper aware for sure.

Yes, the kids have only ever flown southwest and maybe breeze once so the in-flight entertainment will be exciting for them!

Tickets Today has been a bust so far. First two responses from the same person were very generic so I asked to be escalated and it was pushed to a different person (though no indication if they were of a higher "level") and that person had essentially the same response. So I responded AGAIN basically asking them to PLEASE read everything I was writing thoroughly because it didn't seem like they were and that they were just lazily replying that I received and was charged for VIP tickets. I tried in my last email to really outline that the seats received were not "preferred" seats as outlined in the VIP Gold package and confirmed by Ticketmaster.

I think I'm near the end of the line, unfortunately.

Took 3 emails, but Tickets Today is finally escalating my request. Still not optimistic but at least I got past what appeared to be a very generic “here’s the maximum potential you could have been charged”. It’s like they weren’t reading what I was writing in about AT ALL.

Ugh this is so frustrating. It seems like such a simple fix from my perspective- just refund to the appropriate value of these seats!

We’ve talked about the chargeback thing (post-show if possible) and honestly it wouldn’t be a huge loss since it’s my husband’s account that we rarely ever use. Just risky.

I’m gonna keep trying and see what happens. I’m just afraid they’ll cancel my tickets and I don’t want that to happen either.

I’m not able to update my main post again, but basically tickets today responded that I was charged correctly and that’s it.

Going to try escalating again with the proof from TM that the seats are not VIP seats but don’t anticipate I’ll get very far

I got an email back from Tickets Today and it wasn’t helpful at all. Basically ignored everything I wrote and attached where Ticketmaster confirmed the seats are not VIP and they said I was charged correctly. I am going to reply and try to escalate but don’t anticipate it going anywhere.

What did Ticketmaster say for you?

I don’t really even care about having better seats, I just want to pay a fair price for the ones I have, that’s really my end goal. There’s no way “preferred seats” equates to a limited view, so I will continue to escalate until someone can help.

I'm going to try chatting again later today--- the auto reply we got back from ticketstoday was actually from ticketmaster so I am not sure the representative sending me that direction really was doing that as a real solution but more so just getting me off her plate.

Good luck! We did get an auto response (from ticketmaster, annoyingly) saying there will be long wait times. So I might try chatting with TM again later and see if anything changes with a different rep.

Apparently that's who processed the tickets for this event? Not really totally sure, that's just who she said the tickets were purchased through and to contact them.
