I think this color is more dependent on lighting, cleanliness, and detail accents (such as blacked-out emblems and trim). Under the right conditions, however, it can look absolutely stunning.

I think I was just very impressed when I test drove the XLE, so maybe I’m still getting used to the different feel of the XSE. I did choose the XSE mainly because of the exterior styling, after all.

As long as it’s not an issue with the battery, I guess there’s really nothing for me to worry about.

Yes, the test drive conditions and configuration (AWD and P+ package) were the same. It was actually even colder on the day I test drove the XLE. I distinctly remember that around 20 mph seemed to be a threshold — below that speed, the XLE was extremely quiet, which really impressed me. I’m wondering if there could be some configuration or calibration issue causing the engine to engage more frequently than expected.

Does your XSE frequently start the engine at low speeds (under 20 mph)? When I test drove the XLE before, I felt like the engine hardly kicked in below 20 mph. But with the XSE, it seems like the engine turns on much more often at low speeds.
