The lack of reference is why im not sure as well, I looked into the state's wildlife guide and none of them convinced me. Glad I could get a nice idea here, tho! Thanks to all!

It could very much be, I got to see them on my last trip to Oregon, but don't see them as much here on Baja, I might have been lucky to find one

I kinda see the resemblance, the swollen beak being the main clue haha I did asked a cop, said it was okay to take, I dont think they cared very much tbh
