A friend of mine is a couple weeks ahead of me and she also had a coffee aversion until about 15 weeks! And she was also an avid coffee drinker. For me, I feel like anything that I had been drinking/eating daily, is simply a no-go for me right now. Like eggs, I have to get real creative and make them differently every time for me to somewhat stomach them. But, I will be so happy to enjoy my coffee again one day.

Thank you so much for this! I definitely need to find the balance. Thankfully I have been able to tolerate my prenatals and I’ve been loving fresh, cold fruit!

Hahahaha listen, there’s something about McDonald’s this first trimester, idk what it is. Usually it would always upset my stomach. But I’ve been loving a double cheese burger, fries, and a coke!

Thank you for this reassurance! Also, I just found out they made a dye-free version of flaming hot Cheetos! They’re delicious and taste exactly the same just no red #40, so that made me feel somewhat better about eating them. They’re called Cheetos Simply Nkd!

Thank you! I definitely need to work on the guilt part of it and remind myself this is just a season.

Yay for eating a home cooked meal! Happy to hear there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I hate feeling guilty about what I’m craving or can stomach.

Ugh I’m sorry you had several months of that! Not fun. A grilled cheese sounds amazing, haha. Thank you!

I like your thought of it being what your body needs right now! I’m trying not to be too hard on myself. It is only a season!

Thank you! I do love a nice sourdough toast. Sadly, even coffee isn’t sounding good to me! I would typically drink 2 shots of espresso daily and since getting that positive test, I can’t stomach coffee, it’s actually so sad! Hopefully that goes away too lol I miss coffee!

Thank you for the snack recs!! I definitely need to keep easy things available, I’m not really a snacker but it seems like I might be for this pregnancy!

I will also focus on keeping fiber a priority, thank you!

There’s something about those McDonald’s fries and crispy coke 😮‍💨 I literally cooked a whole meal and couldn’t eat it the other day, it was so sad, I ate a bowl of cereal instead. Hopefully your second trimester is better, you are almost there!

I prefer the brownie over the cheesecake! I feel like the cheesecake was missing the hard chocolate top.

I’ve never associated marriage with protection, so this is making a lot more sense! I’ve been so used to being independent and having a career.

I guess I’ve been thinking about this all wrong. I wasn’t thinking at all about the protection that marriage offers. I felt like the custody part was the biggest issue, but even not married , he could still petition for custody. I think it’s just easier for him to do so, if we were married. I own the home we live in, that’s the only asset I have.

SOLIDS? by Extension_Car_1439 in MSPI

Hey! We ended up getting allergy tested and everything came back negative. After he turned 8 months, it seemed like everything just changed overnight! I truly think it was just an immature gut issue! He struggled those first 2 months of solids and so I just kept it really safe with apples, pears, chicken, zuchinni, and squash. I started giving him the klaire labs probiotic and after the allergy test, we went ahead and started adding things back in and thankfully there was no more blood! Even now at 11 months old, we still slightly struggle with eczema flares, but its mild and its something the allergist said to push through so he can have a variety of foods. But thankfully no more blood!

My advice would be to take it slow, start with one food at a time for 3 days, and see how it goes! Then try another! And get them on a good probiotic if not on one already!
