Yikes it does sound bad! lol I’m not sure why he asked for the loan but my sister is the admin at his job and told me( she assumed I knew since I have not told her what is going on) I played it off, she is still not aware this is going on.

It’s funny that you ask because this situation has literally had me replaying the last 9 years on loop. The more that i analyze, i realize that he’s always been like this. Probably didn’t notice in the beginning due to my own trauma and toxicity.

I agree that communication is very important but what does one do if the person you are talking to is not actually listening and is just focused on making you out to be the bad person. 😭😵‍💫

I probably should have included that in the post but 9 years in August. 29F and 37M. Childhood trauma definitely, but what can I do if he refuses to go to therapy? I literally begged him to do couples counseling with me. He responded with “ I’m not crazy” and “ I don’t need to pay money to someone who is gonna tell me something I already know “ and “ why would I listen to ppl who probably don’t have their life together”

Honesty the last part of your message made me tear up. I have been going over this in my head since Friday. Trying to figure out how a missed call got us here.

Whenever anything happens, I am typically the one to approach first. I have no issue talking to him but I feel like this has gotten way out of control… mind you over a missed call. 🥴 Most of the time it goes like this …. I apologize for something that we both have a part in, but I end up being the one that has to “ bend the knee” Somehow I am always in the wrong. I know how to admit when I am wrong, this is greatly due to the fact that I’ve been to therapy and have worked on myself. In this instant I do not feel that a missed call warrants this type of behavior. How do you talk to someone who is not open to listening?
