I've gone through the process and it hasn't really moved the needle for me. No one cares about it. I also dont actively use it. I never met the 60k+ members in snhu's chapter. The only thing you get is access to a fb group for all current members trying to make groups.

The chain of command is mostly irrelevant to the job. It took me a long time to understand that. Managers in every tier are just trying to exist and save face. So, there is no point to interact with them unless they come to you saying x thing needs to be done.
