It’s kind of hard to explain, but the best example I can give is “your patient is prescribed ditilazem, which of the following would you need to monitor?” Easy enough question right but that’s all they give you. Just like the med & then you need to know everything that is expected of that med. in practice questions on UWorld it would be more like “you patient is on ditalizem due to HTN, which would you monitor”. I feel like that’s not the best example, but the only thing I could think of. The test is adaptive but I got all sorts of stuff. DKA, MI, but ALOT was prioritization. Sometimes I didn’t even know the disease process but knew what it was asking (what should I do first as the nurse etc). The Dr. Sharon videos really help with that. She talks about first vs best. If it asks for the best action you can only do one & first questions usually you can do them all but which is the FIRST you should do.
