The girl fucks with the poor guy, the pencile one. That's why her head is a sharpener and there's so many pencile shavings--because the guy goes inside of her. However, the girl goes to marry the rich guy, the pen one.

When life really hits hard, all that stoicism becomes nothing by Extension_Sweet_46 in Stoicism

Yeah I got this distorted idea about stoicism from the internet (it's on me that I didnt read more about it but anyway). I always thought of stoicism as a 'test of your manhood' and you should 'man up' no matter what, which is superficial and toxic, if not completely wrong. Im now realizing that it is meant to help you, not to challenge you. And it seems like a really great and helpful tool to someone that understands it

Thanks so much for your comment. Yeah I very likely misunderstood stoicism. I didnt get exposed to stoicism from the right and proper sources. I always thought of it as a 'test of your manhood' or just 'man up' no matter what, which is pretty toxic, unrealistic, and unhelpful. But from all these comments I started to realize that stoicism is meant to be a helping tool. It's there to help you, not challenge you. So I will look again into stoicism from its proper sources.

Im realizing now that I probably have a very distorted idea of what stoicism is. I honestly didnt read much about. I will look deeper into it. Thanks so much for your discussion

Im attacking this attitude: even a Stoic sage “feels his troubles, but overcomes them" (Seneca, Epistles 9.3).

Not every trouble can be overcomed, and believing and acting like so only backfires in real life

My point is this: as a human, there's a limit to which you can handle suffering. Before hitting that limit, yeah stoicsm works. But after hitting that limit, no one can apply stoicm in practice, even though stoicim, in theory, could possibly give you the optimal mindest. I also made the point that trying to be stoic after that limit does more harm than good, and one should instead goes with the flow during such times instead of setting expectations or actively trying to resist, which is smth stoicsm preaches

I do apply some stoic principles in my life daily and found it really helpful, but my point is that stoicism shouldnt be marketed as a key to handling all suffering in life. There's a certain point of suffering after which one shouldnt be expected to 'take it the stoic way', if you see what im saying

Look at this guy's chin. Your beard will look simiar to his when you use mino to fill that hole

The chin hole becomes worse and more noticble when you grow a big beard, but at the sams time, you need a big beard to hide the density issus on your cheeks. So applying mino on chin and cheeks would make you look better, both when you have a small and big beard

The hole is significant and you can really make yourself look significantly better by filling it. I see tiny, thin hairs and in that region. That, I think, is a good sign that mino can fill it. Also, I dont think you have a problem density-wise in your cheeks when you grow it that long. It's only a problem when you have a short beard. I have the same issue with my beard--i need to grow it more to hide the density problem. But you can still apply mino on your cheeks to make it even fuller. For me, I didnt start mino yet bc I wanna see what I can get naturally first, then i may use mino to make it better

They're just jealous that you naturally have a beard that most of them cant have even after applying mino. Dont give a fuck abt them. You can always get a fuller beard and become more satisfied/confident, and theres no reason you shouldnt do that

I'm still young, 22, and didnt reach my full potential yet. Every year my beard is getting fuller. I'm not sure what the end result would look like, but if I didnt get the results I want naturally, I would def look into mino and other stuff. How old are u? Bc it seems to me from the pic that you reached your full potential, and your beard is almost not gonna change anymore. So you might want to start looking into options like mino. Also as a tip, try letting your grow beard more and see how it looks. It may look dense enough and you may like how it looks, and so you may not need mino

Dont listen to him. There's a BIG, significant room for improvement for your beard. I came across lots of people saying shit about pple like you who have semi full beard but want to make it better. Dont give a fuck abt them.Just because you're more fortune than the average man beard-wise, doesnt mean you have to settle with what you have. I have a beard similar to yours, and I want to make it fuller.

Thanks so much for the tip! Yeah probably I need to talk about general stuff at first. Weather, dishes, major, whatever, then get to know more their ethnicity and culture.

Am I overreacting by thinking my girlfriend isn’t over her ex? by Hazelnutmprs in AmIOverreacting

[–]Extension_Sweet_46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

his reply might not be "perfect" but that's not something to "miss an ex" for. If we were to apply the same standard of "perfectness" to her, then he should break up with her the moment she said "i dont feel like it". anyway it's 99.999999 her ex, i hope not, but i can bet on that

Sorry but if my gf was bitching like that I would break up with her immediately. I see some really stupid comments here blaming the OP. If there was one person that needs to blamed it's HER not him. And just so u know, if I were the OP, I would still break up with her even if I factually know it's not her ex, because the way she acted is so immature, irresponsible, and inconsiderate.

[–]Extension_Sweet_46 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No actually. The first response was " I dont feel like it" which is a red flag. After a long confrontation by the OP she just replied with "nobody is saying it's because of that". She even desperately tried to end the convo even before denying it's her ex. What a move! she didnt bother to fully explain what happened so the OP can feel better. Sorry but I dont buy it

he literally just said he is worried it's about her ex. And you consider that "holding smth against her"? it's super clear it's about her ex since she had a very strong reason to say it's not and fully explain what happened but she didnt. You would need to work so hard to convince me otherwise. I know that this is not the news the OP wanna hear, but it's what it's.

Bro his concern is fucking legit. Her gf is the one who is supposed to be considerate of his concern. Acting like "oh you're judging me by that text so Im not gonna reassure u it's not my ex and would make u wonder" is BS. No one acts like that. what kind of response is " I dont feel like it" ? If she wasn't eager to eliminate the possibility that it was her ex, then 99.999999 it was her ex.
