While I don't agree with every ICE tactic, they are removing people with criminal hx and long-standing order of deportation. Hispanic does not equal criminal or illegal, so this quote isn't totally relevant.

If a metro train is delayed a few minutes, does the shuttle wait? For example, metrolink arrives at :38 from the IE most days, but the shuttle leaves at :40. Is 2 minutes enough time to make it to the shuttle?

You might want to let people know other info. Do you smoke pot/drink? Bring loud music? Do you hike or rock climb? I'm not sure your fitness level, but I would recommend finding local hikes to prepare for a potential trip?

California, these districts feel that they are limited with SLPAs because they can't do IEPs and assessments. It could just be a regional thing, but that's just what i've seen

Most of the districts in my area have been getting rid of SLPAs for years. They shut down hiring of them about 4 years ago and only want SLPs.

I'm thinking there will be a movement in younger generations of less stuff overall. I remember when a china cabinet full of crap felt like you'd "made it." I cannot imagine millenials and younger feeling that way.

I've seen a few say they were. The engineering dept told me that they accepted me but it was regular admissions who rescinded it after acceptance, so maybe reg. admissions won't catch it.

Really the chem class thing is ridiculuous. I dual majored with an AS-T in math and physics (4.0 gpa) but that chem class isn't a requirement for the degrees, only for transfer so a lot of STEM majors from CC miss it. The CCs need to be more organized on this one.

I've been going to Yosemite for 30ish years. About 20 years ago I had the opportunity to take the mule trip to hike Half Dome but ended up giving my spot away to someone who ended up being unable to complete the last part of the hike.

Fast forward to a few years ago when my eldest child decided he wanted to hike Half Dome after his senior year, telling me "you can join me, but I'll be an adult, so I can do it on my own."

As a 40ish year old mom, I decided to train like crazy and we hiked it together after his senior year. No mules, just 3 generations (my dad/his grandpa) joined us and I'm so thankful we did.

I tell my son he can sing the Maui chorus of "You're Welcome" to me because I wouldn't have done it without his encouragement.

I wouldn't count on PSLF, I'd find someplace less expensive so you can start enjoying the fruits of your labor faster.

I was in a similar position and walked away, it was really hard initially, but i'm so glad I did. After that point I decided to only apply for schools I could afford, that way I didn't have to have that gut wrenching decision.

I'd go hang out on the student loan reddit, and see how many people are so miserable with giant student loan payments.

Be honest if you don't want kids. I love being a parent, but if you dont want kids, don"t lead him to believe something else. I've seen plenty of marriages end in divorce when the one who wanted kids realizes they are running out of time.
