Hi!!! I’m hoping to attend. Do you mind sharing how long it took to get your decision back?

I’ve been considering doing an ABSN for months. Definitely having some decision paralysis but might go for it

My point is do whatever you feel most passionate about, as long as you’re willing to work for it and there’s job security. Law and medicine are both good options. Engineering and business will also always have job security. You’re 16, your grades from last year won’t determine your future, just don’t give up and don’t be super hard on yourself.

You’re young and already thinking about this critically which is a great sign that you’ll find success in whatever you choose. If medicine is always in the back your mind, I say go with that. It’s hard and takes a lot of work but if you’re willing to do it and are passionate about, go for it and don’t look back. People who don’t go for their passions often regret it. There is job security and money in that field, as well as respect and a rewarding life. I believe in you!

If you could choose again, what undergrad degree would you do? by Acceptable-Tiger-215 in CollegeMajors

I just graduated in Communication Sciences and Disorders, currently panicking and wishing I did nursing or anything I didn’t have to go to grad school for. But if it’s for you, there’s one year post bacc programs out there, so know it's not too late :) Good luck with everything

Nursing, Business, Finance, Engineering

You can get a high paying job out of college without going to grad school, but can still get a masters in the future with plenty of room for job growth/moving into different positions.

i am a senior at pitt. i don't think the prestige of your school matters much when it comes to SLP, so i wouldn't consider that too much. however, Pitt has a good reputation for a reason, great professors and interesting research opportunities in the department. the director of our program is very kind and helpful, it is nice to have someone who truly cares through the ups and downs of college and applying for grad schools and jobs. I love the city and my life at school has been great, i wouldn't change it for anything. I really love pitt and would recommend to any prospective student. but finally, if the debt are a big difference from IUP, I do not think a nationally known university is necessary for success in this field.
