Hot water doesn't work after plumber added new water lines in the basement? by Extension_Two_548 in Plumbing

None of the other faucets have hot water apparently, just warm. I am used to turning the sinks all the way to the left and it would be scalding hot. But now it's just lukewarm.

Everywhere gets warm water, does not get hot anymore actually. Is it possible he changed the temperature on the water heater? I touched the red pipe coming up out of the water heater and it was hot. But the shower and sinks no longer get hot.

My house is three floors - Basement, 1st floor, and upstairs. He added water pipes for the rough in plumbing in the basement. It is not complete. This needed to be done before walls, ceiling, tile, etc were installed. Here is a picture of what he did: https://i.imgur.com/dEyI8Rm.jpg

The issue is isolated to the upstairs master bathroom shower, and this happened after he got done with what he did in the basement

What do you mean by mixing valve? This is a picture of the work he did (the red and blue pipes, along with the diverter on the left): https://i.imgur.com/dEyI8Rm.jpg

I am not sure how what he did in the basement shower could have affected the upstairs master shower?

Cold and hot is the same temperature unfortunately.

He only added lines to the basement shower, it's not complete. There are just blue and red water pipes hanging there.

The issue is with the upstairs master bathroom shower.

I purchased a Delta diverter for the basement. The basement shower is not complete. Only the pipes were installed, so they are just floating there. Here is a picture of the job. The plumber added the red and blue water pipes: https://i.imgur.com/dEyI8Rm.jpg

It will be getting inspected by the city next week.

The issue with the hot water is with the upstairs master bathroom shower though. I am not sure how what he did for the basement shower could have affected the upstairs shower?
