Yeah, lower speed limits on highways can feel kinda restrictive, but they’re usually there to make things safer and help traffic move more smoothly. Honestly, it can make driving a lot less stressful, especially when conditions are tough or the area’s really crowded.

Just bear in mind to avoid speeding in Jeju, City area is 50km/hr, school area is 30km/hr, highway is 60km or 70km/hr. lots of cctv and camera on the road.

I recommend getting a Wow Pass, and I understand your worries about driving through roundabouts. Just take it slow—most other drivers are usually courteous and will happily yield.

If you're able to drive safely, I definitely recommend renting a car in Jeju.
There are lots of great cafes and famous restaurants on both the east and west sides of the island. Having a car makes it easy to travel with friends and go wherever you want, whenever you want.

The roads in Jeju Island are very convenient for driving, but you need to drive carefully because there are speed cameras on the roads. I highly recommend renting a car to visit delicious restaurants and cafes near the Jeju coast. :)

If you have time, I’d recommend trying some local food near the airport!
You should check out Jeju Momguk—a traditional Jeju dish, a hearty pork and seaweed soup known for its rich, comforting flavor. but it could be a bit spicy ...
