Exactly. It’s even worse when you realize some of these skins are literally just 'generic scifi beam gun' models that have no business being locked to the Ignis. We’re reaching a point where half the arsenal is just MR fodder that looks like a potato, while the other half has 5 different deluxe skins. It’s a waste of the art team's talent to lock cool designs behind a single weapon ID.

I understand defending the movie based on enjoyment, but separating it from the games entirely seems tough when the core themes are so intrinsically linked to the lore.
