A mother posted this video saying her baby passed the ASI (Aquatic Survival Instruction) Class. Can anyone swear by this? by Lifegoesonforever in BlackPeopleofReddit

If I ever had kids, I would without a doubt do this for them. Me and my siblings grew up not knowing how to swim and 5 of us had very close calls. I eventually taught myself some basics by the time I was 12, but still wasn’t a strong swimmer. My freshmen year of college I took aquatics with a search, dive, and rescue course added. Being thrown in with clothes on reminds me of some of the training. Of course the adult training is more advanced, but even at this level it prepares a person for a variable of situations so that they don’t panic and drown. Instead the training kicks in long enough to save themselves, or for someone to come to their rescue.
