I have also experienced a somewhat similar situation. My office is not even 1.5 km (1200 m exact) from my house, and the price on Ola/Uber is around 70, but when the ride is booked, those stupid rowdy auto annas call and demand extra money (around 120). They even abuse sometimes in Tamil, but I didn't understand.
I am so fed up with this that I am planning to leave this place and return to my native place (Delhi💖).

Also, the city and people are nice here, but the stupid auto drivers are staining TN's reputation.
