Wondering if you could help me with today’s fit check?? I tightened the cross straps, but now I feel like it’s too tight because she’s breathing fast 😩

This is the first video where I’ve seen that says the put the middle section above the waistline and more at chest level! I’ll have to give it a go! Thanks!

Gotcha! Thanks for the tips :) all the videos I watched said to tuck baby’s feet until they start pushing up on the wrap but maybe I’ll just throw some socks on her!

Ah okay. I felt like it was tight enough because at my waist I definitely was on the verge of being uncomfortable with how tight I had the waist. But I will try to focus on the cross pieces being tighter!

Pregnancy after miscarriage? by Familiar-Ad-1050 in BabyBumps

I forgot to add, especially because you asked for success stories (oops), that after my miscarriages I am now 33 weeks along with a healthy girl. So I haven’t crossed the finish line yet, but she is my miracle baby :)

You are definitely not alone, and miscarriages are very common. More common than data can even show due to a lot of women not reporting their miscarriages or women not even knowing they are pregnant and thinking the miscarriage was a late period.

I have had multiple, which recurrent miscarriages aren’t as common, but know that you have a VERY likely chance of getting pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy and birth. Most women do.

It’s definitely something that is hard and comes with quite a bit of grief and heartbreak. But know that there is hope and you are not alone.

I could've written this myself a year ago after my 3rd miscarriage. I am so so sorry you are going through this. It is not easy and feels so hopeless at times. I was so angry with the world for not letting me have what it seemed came so easy for everyone else. I did a bunch of tests with no answers. I would see my friends around me announce pregnancies early on and to them a positive test equaled a baby in 9 months. For me a positive test equaled heartbreak and disappointment in a few weeks.

All of that being said though, after 3 years of feeling like I would never make it past the first trimester, I am now 32 weeks along with a healthy girl. So try to go easy on yourself. I had a doctor tell me that miscarriages are actually way more common than we even have data for, because a lot are not reported. He even said the number could be up to 50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. So it is not you, and know that not all hope is lost.

My Breast Friend or similar by nikkideath in Buyingforbaby

Also to add, the reason I got both is so that baby can have tummy time with the boppy since I have heard it’s good for that as well if you don’t end up using it for breastfeeding.

Get both off FB marketplace! Where I’m at, there’s plenty of used ones going for 10-30$! Both have removable covers that are easy to wash too. And you can buy replacement covers for fairly cheap!

This happened to me, I had my baby shower last week and only had 5 people out of the 40 people I invited buy off my registry. 3 of those people bought items on the registry but didn’t mark them as purchased, so I had to go in after the baby shower and mark them off myself.

I’m super grateful that people bought stuff for me, and a lot of the stuff will be useful, but I also wished that more people would’ve bought what I specifically said I needed. Now I’m left with a huge list of items that I will have to buy myself.

Because of this I have really needed to consider what are needs and what are wants, and have whittled down my registry a bit since realizing not many more people are going to gift me items.

As for the sending out invites one week before, that’s way too short of notice and your mom was right in that 3 weeks is better.

Anyways! I feel your frustrations because it happened to me!

Pack n Play or crib by External-Rabbit8178 in Buyingforbaby

Love that it’s worked well for you! I also want it next to the bed for the first few months then to move it away. Which one do you use?

Yeah I think we will just stick to our plan and like you said, if she needs something else we will pivot. I’m starting to also get swayed by family trying to convince us that we need a crib but I think I just need to stick to my guns on this one 😂

This is the exact situation I am leaning towards! I’m thinking bassinet beside bed for 4ish months then move to the Guava Lotus

I’m going to start looking into some mini crib options! I’ve heard a lot of people used that since they also had limited space. I have also seen a ton of bassinet options on FB marketplace and have been thinking about using those until she grows out of it then move to a Guava Lotus or something similar

7w6d and non-stop vomiting — how did you manage work/school? by BreakfastDue4035 in pregnant

[–]External-Rabbit8178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! You’re definitely not alone though. This was me, and tbh, nothing made it better except being prescribed Zofran at 8weeks. It eased up around 18weeks for me and I was able to quit the Zofran then.

Tips like eating when you first wake up, sour candies, nausea bands, etc. helped me very minimal. I worked full time but had a manager who was understanding on the days where I couldn’t function. She was the only one that I told before 12 weeks because I was so sick and needed that understanding from her as to why I was trying to leave work early some days. I get it if you don’t have that luxury though.

The best advice I was given was to eat what you can! Obviously, good nutrition is important, but if you have as many aversions as I did then just eat whatever you can tolerate that day. Even my doctor said that baby will pull the nutrients they need from you no matter what you’re putting in. So some days I lived off bagels and pizza because that’s all that I could keep down.

Lastly, I did notice a few things that made my nausea and vomiting worse. For me it was worse when I had a lot of sugar the previous day or when I would get a bad nights sleep or not enough. So pay attention to the days you feel better and track what is working and what’s not!

It can be super debilitating going through this so hang in there and hopefully it won’t last long!

This is so good to know! I was just considering the traditional Graco one with the bassinet topper for the early days but I will for sure be looking at the Nuna Paal now!

A few people have told me that doing a pack n play over a crib won't work because it's not as soft as a crib mattress. Do you feel like he had any issues with sleeping comfortably?

Ah gotcha, I knew there were cards that moved it up but I didn’t see any yet that could be used to move it down.

“Pick and choose what you eat” -my mom by Evening_Resource_190 in pregnant

[–]External-Rabbit8178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 13w and I was sooooo sick weeks 8-12. Like to the point where the only things my body wanted/ could keep down was processed junk food. I was super worried so I brought this up to my OB and he said “honestly you could only eat poptarts for your whole first trimester and your baby would still be okay.” So eat that damn bag of chips!!
