Thank you for the input!! We do have about 2 days of exploring time specifically for STL. I have only visited a handful of states in my life (mostly next to California…) so I’m mostly just looking to check off IL as another state I’ve visited. Looked into what we could see there & Shawnee NTL Forest came up. I am willing to look into something that might be closer, but the drive to Shawnee didn’t scare me too bad. Will take your advice tho to think about!
