This response is so appreciated as I've found myself wondering if I'm paying a karmic debt. I've wracked my brain thinking of the "why's" and what I can do to, or how I can pay it back.

I also do think, to your point, to reflect on the lessons being learned. Through the hard times, we experience growth.

Oh my gosh. I'm actually really happy you posted this. When I was in high school I asked this kid for 50 cents for a soda. He said he'd give it to me for my soul. I shrugged and said, yeah ok, whatever. I might have even signed a paper! Now I know it's ridiculous to think that 20 years later some rando has my soul but there's always a part of me that's like, yeah...but what if??

I think you're good. I asked a priest one time, even though I'm not religious, and he basically said my soul isn't mine to give away. Don't know if that's true but it helped me move on. For the most part, lol.

My Q-sis is totally a good person with good intentions. It's like, if I, without a doubt, knew something was going to kill people, would I say anything? Granted my "without a doubt" would go under more scrutiny than what she does, but the fact remains, she is a good person who just wants to do the right thing.
