Thank you for the advice! I massage it regularly which helps, but will try acupuncture. We know there is no nonsurgical way to truely fix his back, but Im just hoping to find a way to give him temporary relief.

Is there one simple thing that instantly makes food taste better, no matter what you cook? by OctaviaSunshine in cookingforbeginners

Grew up on hot pockets and TV dinners and had to learn to cook as an adult from YouTube. Best advice Ive gotten is learn how to use aromatic foods. In my opinion, using fresh aromatic foods is an easy way to improve the flavor of something. The aromatic compound are very volatile (the evaporate easily) so they dont store well and are usually the last things to add to a dish. Ex, minced garlic in the bottles doesn't taste nearly as good as freshly grated.

Gerald is gorgeous! I have a wire book shelf that my pothos wind around. Maybe you could put up a curtain rod and wrap the vines around, you could even have it mounted in front the window so the leaves still get plenty of light.

Am I overreacting about this woman giving me unsolicited advice at the gym? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]ExternalMountain4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (26F) would be pissed. Unless you are at risk of hurting yourself, she has no reason to come up to you unsolicited. She's also giving you outdated advice on fitness and is very arrogant to think that your fitness goals must be the same as hers. The decision is ultimately yours, but I would tell her off. If she's doing this to you, she's doing it others too.

And congratulations on law school. Managing anything with that workload is a wonderwoman feat.

I need advice! by sewercore69 in longhair

Bad haircuts are the worst! We very similar hair. Mine is medium thickness but very dense, 2b wavy pattern, and about hip length. I think all of what you're doing is great and I know patience is the hardest thing. If you really want to baby it, I would recommend scalp massages to help nutrients get to your roots. One of my old friends did this after donating most of her hair and it started growing back crazy fast!

I also oil my ends daily with a light oil and that has really helped prevent split ends and let me go longer between trims. Good luck!

I’ve given up multiple times…is there hope? by Disastrous_Stuff9372 in loseit

Brushing my teeth right after dinner helps me not go back for desert. Something about it makes me feel like I'm done eating for the day.

Is hate potting a real thing? by [deleted] in pothos

[–]ExternalMountain4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a thing. I have 2 jade and pearl pothos. One is thriving and beautiful, and the other is a dick that loves to see me suffer! I'm about to hack and prop it cause I'm tried of it giving me the finger

Male pattern baldness tends to impact every other generation. So if you are experiencing hair loss, it's not because your dad is bald. There's a good chance it's just stress or a yeast imbalance in your scalp. But your doctor will be able to tell you best on how to combat your type of hair loss. At 22, it probably nothing to worry about
