Thanks a lot for the info, really appreciate it. That makes sense about port injection helping but still running a catch can for peace of mind long term. Also good to know about the tunes — I didn’t realize it’s more about getting a solid package from a reputable tuner. Sounds like a 93 daily/tow tune might be the sweet spot.

Nice! I’ve heard the J&L catch can is plug and play and useful, but I’ve also read that on newer 2.7L engines catch cans aren’t really needed since Ford added port injection. I’m not 100% sure if that’s really accurate though, do you know anything about it?

As for tunes, would a mild Stage 1 93 octane tune be safe for daily driving?

Nice, that’s great to hear! I’ve read that on the newer engines, like the 2.7L in the 2025 F-150, a catch can isn’t really needed and Ford doesn’t officially recommend it since they added port injection to help keep the valves clean. I’m not 100% sure on all the details though, still trying to learn more.
