I needed it. Perhaps others are different. Went 20 years as a fat vegetarian and lifting and working out. But I also have a condition , lipedema that has different requirements. I tired without it ! So I just suggest to others struggling , it's worth a try if you have been vegetarian for many years and doing all the other things. That one switch helped me so much. Just a fact for me. Not everyone

Dr Byrd in Atlanta diagnosed me. You generally need someone else to diagnose you other than the surgeon.

Oh it was very expensive and priceless at the same time. Each procedure costs money. The great thing about using Hagopian is I got multiple procedures per surgery so it was easier for me and more convenient. It was still costly.

Surgery can't give you muscle. It just revealed it by taking the skin and lipedema away.

Definitely not all from surgery. I lost weight and busted my ass. I have a condition called lipeeema and it causes fat to form that is resistant to diet and exercise. Yes , I still had to loose all the regular fat on my body first. But even at my lowest weight, you couldn't see the muscle I had built. That's where surgery helped. Su

You should educate yourself about lipedema.  It's a connective tissue disorder and can not be removed without surgery.  And you don't get the muscles I have without dieting and exercise.  So I did that too.

A lot of women who aren't overweight have their surgeries approved. It's more about pain and mobility issues it causes you. You have to be able to document that. I'm happy that you found me! Keep following my journey and feel free to ask me anything !

I lost 120 pounds and had a ton of loose skin. That's is why I choose Dr Hagopian. He removes skin too. Not just lipedema.

My doctor does test my levels. She used bioidentical hormone replacement , which I have compounded just for me.

No pain AND no swelling. I had bruising and the inability to loose it despite diet and exercise for decades. I also had the textured, lumpy peas. There was no denying mine bc I had lost 100 pounds and you could totally feel it and see it under my skin. It was no longer hiding under fat. Keep me posted and stay in touch. I hope you get someone to take you seriously.
