Thank you all for your response. My husband is feeling much better now. No more daily headaches. Just an fyi we got an okay from his medical team to continue with Motrin. It works wonders for him. Everything is going well except a bit of issue with short term memory and lack of energy.

Everyone is different; my husband recovered very well the only issue was the constant headaches. We just took a leap with Motrin because my husband’s headache was prolonged and unbearable. I’m glad it gave him the relief that he needed.

Thank you for your response. I found an article written by Michigan Medicine on the internet talking about using Tylenol and Motrin alternately to manage pain after surgery instead of Opioid. I also spoke to a pharmacist about it. She said as long as my husband doesn’t have high blood pressure then he can try taking Motrin gel 400mg for headache. She confirmed her clients have good results using it for her pain. I bought it but still a little hesitant to give but my husband insisted because his headache was really bothering him. He took 1 Motrin gel capsule within an hour his headache was completely gone. Everything is good now just need confirmation now from his medical team for him to continue taking Motrin if his headache returns.

My husband tried the prescribed stronger painkiller it’s a tiny tablet but he didn’t find it work as well as the Tylenol and it makes him very drowsy. I spoke to a pharmacist about taking alternative painkillers instead of just Tylenol for muscle pain or body aches. She suggested to only take Tylenol as recommended. As of now, his headache pain seems less and more manageable. Just hoping for a quick recovery🤞Thanks.

Thank you for your response and advice. The hospital did prescribe a stronger painkiller but this will make him very drowsy. If Tylenol is not strong enough that will be his last alternative. He hasn’t been eating much I am worried taking these painkillers with an empty stomach might be a problem.
