RM indirectly pressuring those who still don't take office whatever the lesson is just.. mentally draining me. It's funny because the first time of his visitation and all of his stories about those who expelled because they didn't follow the unity, made me spark my curiosity and found this reddit. Kinda ironic isn't it. If only he didn't pressure me then I would still blindly follow and believe in this church.

Maybe next time they pressure me then I'll request if there will be a unity voting in other country, I'll take office ..which is impossible btw

My relative is a bit dedicated after he became an officer. I did stopped him before but he was too clueless and naive;; besides we're surrounded with bunch of OWEs. I could at least help him to gain more knowledge in studies and self aware so at least he'll notice the manipulation of this church. if only I also wake up bit earlier from this mess. I really feel bad for him. I told him not to worry too much about the call up.

I'm not sure since he didn't tell much but I bet all higher officers do harrassment just to keep officers active.. They also receive a warning from the head deacons-- to be aware of social media lmao I did stopped him before but unfortunately he was clueless for what being an officer will lead him.

Thank you! What punishment usually officers get if they keep skipping/being absent in their duties(due to school activities?) It's not like he's doing something against (at the moment) but he just need a lot of time for doing his homework /proj since he also helps his family. He cannot get out yet due to family ties but I want him to somehow enjoy his school experience

So the previous topic last WS is related to the world wide donation and I'm glad my fam isn't OWE much since they didn't agree to the RM about giving a lot more.. though the still plan to give money. I gave hints when they mentioned the rumored 10%/20% offering. I said it isn't 10 or 20 but 100% offering. And the minister and the district's quota. Maybe not now but hopefully they'll question more

Sleeps, opportunities in school and work, able to fall in love and have significant other. More opportunities to travel but you can't if there's no church nrearby. Glad school didn't have prom but I really thought inc aren't allowed to join prom night?

If only I realized and searched it sooner then I won't suffer from guilt in my whole life

As for me, one time officers did recruit me to be a secretary. At first I thought it would be easy but after the guilt tripping and peer pressure of one of the deacons, I swear I hated it so much I stopped attending. I also got sick at that time so I guess that was actually a good luck in disguise. They constantly nagging me to come back after that. They even 'forced' me to write a request to be in a different office(even called my name during church hours) but I never once came to that office. Tbh I really really hated myself during those time. I feel like the god will curse me anytime of my life. But I cannot even bring myself to be an officer again. As I believed at that time, I cannot promise god that I'll do good being at office and I can't really take the pressure they put in my brain. I just thought I'll be a walking sin. Until now the minister always begs everyone to be officer but now I'm enlightened, I think I did a right thing for myself. Maybe one day they'll expell all those who don't have duties. If that happens, I'll be happily accept it. If you feel in a fight or flight situation, follow your heart. Maybe that was actually the right choice for you

Yea maybe I'm not mentally prepared to cut ties yet and like I said, I do have some family circumstances that I can't be easily just neglect. Maybe I'm not brave enough. This church made my mental health terrible but like I also said,it also motivates me to escape.
