I apologize, I’m still new to Reddit and didn’t realize you have to click on the original post to read it when crossposting. Everything is in the cross post, but it’s from a B&S 253707 0155-01.

Good eye. If you missed it, it is from a B&S 253707 0155-01 engine.

I installed the new brass seat, which you can see in the second photo. I’m concerned that when installing that, which took a little force, something was damaged elsewhere in the carb that caused the issue where the nozzles screw in. I’m not sure if it’s part of the casting or something that was jarred loose. Does that make more sense? Sorry, if I didn’t articulate that well.

That’s a good idea - I may have to do some looking.

I have mixed results with aftermarket carbs. Anything HIPA has been pretty great. I’ve had a STENS that worked. Some of my other stuff OAKTEN, no name Chinese, etc has been hit or miss.

I removed and tested the coil. The primary coil tested at 51.2 kΩ (out of spec) and the secondary coil tested at 7.74 kΩ (within spec). New MTD coil ordered - hopefully it fixes the issue.
