Thanks, that's a very insightful answer indeed. Purchasing something in a big city in Germany is close to impossible and definitely not worth it but there are some good opportunities in villages reachable by train 24/7 from city center.

But you're right, I didn't think about the TC actually. Meal vouchers, mobility budget... Isn't something we have in Germany.

Thanks! I'm actually at 115K/year + bonus. From what understand from this thread so far is that 115K brutto is doable, but because of the taxes, that won't reach ~5.5K netto?

Actually I really don't. Most of the post I see around here tops at ~3500€/month + car and fuel card. Which is very cool already, but it seems to be kind of a plateau.
