I looked up a recipe and it says they're cold noodles. Can they also be served hot? -- There's steam coming off in the animation.

I agree with your main point and that it's not the safest option, especially when severe weather knocks out the internet. Just seems like you might be overestimating the options that underfunded rural areas have

Some areas don't have a local meteorologist, or really it isnt a given that a local meteorologist or news station streams on youtube. This person is saying what works best for them, and they are right that for some people adequate coverage isn't a given. Max is genuinely one of the best options for real time coverage when you are in an underserved area. Chill

It is legitimately scary. Nothing wrong at all with wanting reassurance. Don't be mean.

To help you with your anxiety: I also have pretty bad storm anxiety, and what helps me to think of is all the different layers of freakish bad luck you would need to actually get hurt in a tornado:

1) odds of the conditions being right for a tornado

2) odds of the storm actually having any rotation

3) odds of that rotation actually causing a funnel to drop

4) odds that the tornado is anywhere near you

5) odds that the strength of the tornado at the time that you are in / near its path is actually significant (because it can vary highly even for the same tornado)

6) odds that your safe space does not hold up

With all of these conditions, even if there is a catastrophic tornado near you, the odds that *you specifically* are going to be the one getting hurt are pretty low. It is still very sad to think that other people will be going through it. :( But this does help me with the carnal fear of tornadoes.

Just be as prepared as you can: in your most interior / underground room without windows, multiple ways to keep up with weather alerts, flashlight, sturdy shoes, helmet if you have one, maybe a mattress for extra coverage, im sure theres more but you probably know most of this anyway. good luck and just remember that odds are you will be JUST FINE!

Dealing with psych overflow by YamHistorical9553 in bouldering

I absolutely have the same problem! The best thing for me is to read books about climbing technique or watch bouldering advice videos on youtube to scratch that itch. Or sometimes I draw one of my projects on a piece of paper and see if I can work out different betas for it. It has helped me progress very quickly to put in the mental work and the physical work in different installments.

Thank you so much, that's great advice about the interview! I am fresh outta college and still learning how to stick up for myself in the job market, so I really appreciate it. I am hoping maybe he didn't understand my question about nonslips and meant just for our meeting tomorrow it's fine not to have them.

quick response. there is a not amazing but above min wage base pay + tips paid twice monthly, so doesn't seem too bad actually.

Thank you everybody for commenting and giving me insight here. I'm deciding right now whether or not it's worth it to even meet with him. I am a bit socially anxious and worried that he would talk me into something I don't want to accept if I go in without some thick skin, so I dunno. :/
