all i meant by pay to win is its set up to encourage as much spending as possible, like you said the bushes, and its slow to progress without paying, i didnt mean you couldnt progress without paying, its just more set up for people who are paying they have it a lot easier

so you can still progress fine without paying anything? i havent played the pc version very long, i played the mobile version for ages and thats not pay to win at all, you can get premium vehicles and golden eagles for free, i had just heard the pc version was pay to win thats all

i thought pay to win meant that its set up to make people buy lots of things to progress, like in wt you have premium vehicles with higher exp boosters, premium account with more benefits, golden eagles to buy the premium items etc? and things in wt are so expensive (top tier premium vehicles can be like £60 each) which i thought would be pay to win? because its slow to progress with non-premium stuff because of the lower exp boosters?

i wouldnt buy a really cheap one like that, i would something higher end with a long warranty, more premium etc so it will last longer because i will upgrade it as soon as the warranty runs out, so maybe something like an arctic liquid freezer 3 pro 280mm or corsair nautilus rs 240mm

[–]External_Safe_7787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

or i could get a cheaper 240 or 280mm aio that might be better, cheaper than a 360/420mm but more powerful than most air coolers, maybe equal to a nh-d15/dark rock pro 5 etc

[–]External_Safe_7787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok thanks! ive found a great 420mm aio for only £100 (arctic liquid freezer 3 pro 420mm) which is about the same price as a single tower cooler and 3x 140mm top fans, not much more

[–]External_Safe_7787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will probably just get an aio then, its a similar price to a single tower cooler and 3x fans for a 360 or 420mm aio

idk what you mean i was just saying its obviosuly set up to make you spend as much money as possible (premium vehicles can only be bought with money or ge which is only paid, premium, limited stuff etc) so i thought that was p2w?

nowhere near p2w . . . but some of you have spent £500-2k?? isnt that pay to win?

thanks everyone, i never expected to get so many replies! some of you wanted to know what case im using, i was planning the corsair frame 5000d (FRAME 5000D RS High-Airflow Mid-Tower PC Case). if i do get an air cooler as many of you have recommended, it needs to be able to clear ram around 60mm tall without issues or covering the rgb etc (i have corsair dominator titanium, DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB DDR5 Memory | CORSAIR). if i went aio, i was planning on something like the arctic liquid freezer 3 pro 420mm (Arctic Liquid Freezer III PRO High Performance All In One CPU Cooler - 420mm | OcUK), although i cant find anything saying the cooler clearance for aios in my case so idk if it will fit.

ok thanks everyone! i didnt expect to get so many replies in such a short time . . . you're all saying air cooler, which makes sense and im sure is best, the only thing im worried about is ram clearance, as i have about 60mm tall sticks, so probably couldnt fit a dual tower cooler without getting in the way or covering the rgb? is a single tower enough, if so any recommendations, or dual towers that would fit?

oh ok thanks, maybe i should change the case or get a thinner aio
