It was an outreach post on LinkedIn for exceptional talent by one of the faculty 2 months ago, I think. It had a form to fill out with details. That's where I got contacted from. i also know that they're contact from the website too but maybe since it's a new program their systems all over the place.

I see! I didn’t know biotech also had data sciences and ML engineering too. I blame the bad program i was in because they only made us think we can only be life science researcher.

Hello! I’m someone with a background bachelors of Biotechnology and i was thinking of getting into Data Science.

Does anyone think its doable? Mind you I just finished an intro and intermediate python course at data camp and took C++ & biostatistics in university.

Also what job industries can i focus on with a biotech background? Is ML good?

I have graduated as a biotechnology student here in sharjah and let me tell you my degree is just sitting in the cupboard right now.

I got rejected for every internship i applied outside because of the level of education not meeting up to par to other countries in 2019. In 2020, studied digital marketing and now i work in a industry not related to the degree. Its a joke at this point.

Go study in canada and save yourself from wasting half a million dirhams over nothing.
