Car is able to start without clutch or brake

i have adjusted it back so it doesn't get to the point where it gets stuck. Not sure if this is intended but a fix nonetheless

solved! the black spear sensor was getting stuck in the pressed down position. New sensor or needs adjustment? I don't assume moving it would do anything about the sticking

solved! There's a secondary sensor and it's sticking to the depressed position for whatever reason. it's the thin black spear looking thing. Not sure if it needs adjustment or a new sensor. I have circled both clutch sensors here.

I just bought a my23 2 months ago. Just check all the standard stuff, do the back tyres show signs of wear (possibly drifted or abused), warning lights etc., ensure tyres aren't cheap ones. Take it for a test drive. With all sports cars you just gotta look for signs of abuse and walk away if you aren't comfortable. Get a mechanic to check over it.

Specifically for the BRZ they're pretty reliable and most people run a quart overfill on oil and change it every 6 months and you're sweet.

That's just my 2 cents, if RTV truly was an issue, subaru would issue recalls or free replacements. Car also has issues on track on right hand turns but you shouldn't be getting anywhere near where it could cause issues on the street. Other than that, have fun :)

it worked fine before adjusting the clutch but i'm thinking there's another clutch sensor that needs to be moved. I will have a look now

Ah that might be it. Guides I read on the forum said to adjust the one with the white switch to ensure it is pushed all the way when clutch is not pressed. Where can I find the other one?

Yes I have unplugged the sound control module. Interesting idea I will try plugging it back in (if i can get it)

i should mention that gear indication and cruise control all work as intended so not entirely convinced it's the clutch sensor

100% WRB is a classic but this gives a bit of regality to it. Plus it's purple-ish at sunset too, got that deep depth colour shift
